报告简介:

We introduce a community detection method that utilizes partial network information and provides an estimate of the number of communities K from data. To achieve this, we establish a hypothesis test where the test statistic is constituted of singular values and eigenvalues of partitioned matricesobtained from a centered and rescaled partial adjacency matrix. We demonstrate the asymptotic null distribution and consistency of estimating K using results from random matrix theory. Extensive simulations, including both directed and undirected graphs, and real data examples are conducted to confirm the effectiveness and usefulness of our proposed method.

杨青,中国科学技术大学特任研究员,博士生导师。本科毕业于北京师范大学数学科学学院,博士毕业于新加坡南洋理工大学,后在南洋理工大学和美国普渡大学从事博士后工作,加入中科大前在普渡大学担任访问助理教授。
