In order to guide the majority of young students to have the courage to bear the mission, establish the ambition of studying hard, becoming talents and serving for the nation, and welcome the 100th anniversary of the founding of the party with outstanding performance. The School of Mathematics organized the “Youth to the party, striving for a strong nation”flag raising ceremony in the early morning at emerald lake campus on June 21^st, 2021, in which, more than 400 teachers and students participated.

    Under the attention of all the teachers and students, the heroic flag guards escorted the brightnationalflag into the arena. With the solemn“National Anthem of the People’s Republic of China”,the national flag rose slowly and fluttered in the wind. Everyone present paid their attentions to the national flag, cherishing infinite love and respect for the motherland.

    After the flag raising, under the leadership of the student representative of the School of Mathematics, Yichao Wang, all students of the schoold faced the national flag and made a pledge of youth: I am determined to become an ideal, ethical, educated and disciplined youth. Be brave to bear the mission, cultivate ethics; uphold science, pursue the truth; cultivate oneself and help others, be civilized and obedient; improve personality, strengthen physique; be inspiring, innovate and diligent!

    This flag raising ceremony further strengthed patriotism education and inspired the patriotism of the teachers and students of the school. It encourages teachers and students to stay true to their original aspirations, transform their patriotism into practical actions, and make a gift to the centenary of the founding of the party!
